Born in Grenada, Yung Image listened mostly to Soca and Calypso music. In August of
1995, he came to live in the United States with his family, making Brooklyn his new home. Yung
Image's love of music made it easy to adjust from his usual Caribbean sound to the edgy sound
of Hip Hop. He quickly gained a love for artists like the late great Notorious B.I.G, Tupac Shakur,
LL Cool J, Jay-Z, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and many other legends and pioneers.
